About this product
Three pairs of triple-flange silicone plugs in graduated sizes, rated NRR 24. Flanges work differently from foam: each of the three rings seals independently, so you are not relying on one surface, and they seat in seconds rather than needing thirty seconds to expand.
Three sizes in the set because canal size varies more than most people expect, and a plug one size too large is uncomfortable while one size too small will not seal. They wash in warm soapy water and last months. The case is vented aluminium, which matters because a sealed case traps the damp that makes silicone go tacky.

Fitting protection into a day
Sizing is the whole job with flanged plugs, and it takes one evening to get right.

Start with the medium pair
Try medium first. If it feels like pressure rather than a seal, go down a size. If sound still comes through with the flanges fully seated, go up.

Seat one flange at a time
Push gently until you feel the first flange seat, then a little further for the second. You do not need all three seated in every ear, and forcing the third is where discomfort comes from.

Remove by the stem, with a twist
Twist slightly to break the seal and draw the plug out by its stem. Pulling straight and hard is unpleasant and unnecessary.

Wash, dry, then case them
Warm soapy water, rinse, and let them dry fully. Silicone put away damp goes tacky, which is what the vented case is there to prevent.
Please keep in mind
- Do not use plugs in an ear that is painful, draining or infected.
- Do not force a size that does not fit comfortably; use a smaller one.
- If a plug feels stuck, do not dig for it — speak with a licensed clinician.
Simple questions, answered
- Which size should I start with?
- Medium. Pressure rather than a seal means go smaller; sound still getting through with the flanges seated means go larger.
- Why is the rating lower than the foam plugs?
- Flanges seal at three rings rather than filling the canal, so NRR 24 against 32. In exchange they seat instantly, wash, and last months.
- Do I need all three flanges in?
- No, and forcing the third is the usual cause of discomfort. Two seated flanges is a working seal in most ears.
- How long do they last?
- Months with washing. Replace them when the silicone loses its spring or goes permanently tacky.
