About this product
Two pairs of moulded silicone swim plugs shaped to the contour of the outer ear rather than as a simple cone, on a detachable silicone cord. The cord is the part that stops a plug being lost at the bottom of a pool, and it detaches because plenty of people find a cord irritating once they are used to the plugs.
The shaping is what distinguishes a swim plug from a noise plug: it seals against water pressure at the opening and it is contoured so a swim cap sits over it without pushing it in. Supplied in a vented waterproof case that drains, rather than a sealed pot that keeps them wet.

Fitting protection into a day
Two habits keep swim plugs working: seat them before you get wet, and rinse them after.

Seat them dry, before you get in
A wet ear and a wet plug will not seal properly. Put them in on dry skin at the poolside rather than in the shower.

Cap over the plugs, not under
If you wear a swim cap, pull it over the seated plugs. The contour is designed for that; a cap pulled on first pushes them out of place.

Rinse in fresh water afterwards
Chlorine and salt both degrade silicone over a season. Rinse under the tap and air dry rather than dropping them back in the case wet.

Dry the outer ear after swimming
Tilt your head to drain, then dry the outer folds. The drying bulb set is the product for this if you swim regularly.
Please keep in mind
- These reduce water entering the ear; they do not make an ear waterproof.
- Do not use them if you have ear pain, drainage, ear tubes or a perforated eardrum without clinician advice.
- Do not dive deep with plugs seated, as pressure changes can make them uncomfortable.

- Will these keep my ears completely dry?
- They reduce water entering the ear. No plug makes an ear waterproof, and we are not going to claim otherwise.
- Do I have to use the cord?
- No, it detaches. Most people use it for the first few swims and then take it off.
- Will they stay in under a swim cap?
- Yes, and the contour is designed for it. Seat the plugs first and pull the cap over them, not the other way round.
- Can I use these for noise as well?
- They will reduce noise, but the flanged silicone or foam plugs are shaped for that job and rated for it.
